Project Description

We completed a loft conversion alongside a hip-to-gable roof extension for a family living in a first floor flat, supporting them from the initial measured survey right through to the final technical drawings. The aim was to unlock the unused roof space and transform it into a practical, comfortable living area that better suits their needs. The existing roof layout limited headroom and usability, so the design reconfigured the structure to maximise space, improve natural light, and create a more seamless flow within the home.

The new loft space provides a bright and spacious addition, giving the family a versatile area that can be used for relaxation, work, or additional accommodation. Every element was carefully designed to ensure it feels both functional and inviting, while integrating naturally with the rest of the flat.

Our involvement covered the full design journey, from the initial survey through to developing the loft conversion and roof extension proposals, along with preparing comprehensive technical drawings suitable for planning approval, building regulations, and on-site construction.
